Facilities Supervisor
Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis
The Federal Reserve Bank is looking for a new Facilities Supervisor who has a specialty in
electrical system management.
The primary position focus involves supervising the Facilities Maintenance Team
responsibilities for building electrical distribution systems, uninterrupted power supply
(UPS), emergency generators, and building lighting. Also responsible for Life/Safety
systems, building entry/exit systems including X-ray machines, maintenance and repair of
equipment, and hazardous waste disposal. This team also maintains a fleet of Bank
vehicles and is the primary support for the Cash department AGV’s.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of Facilities Maintenance staff to ensure optimal day-to-day operating objectives are met, while longer-term projects are attained.
- Provide work direction, mentoring, and leadership to staff by communicating performance expectations, providing ongoing performance feedback, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring training and development plans and programs are implemented to address individual and team needs.
- Conduct ongoing condition assessments of current electrical systems, provide analysis of findings, prepare recommendations for equipment repairs and replacement, and lead project efforts.
- Contribute to department operational planning and budgeting efforts.
- Support the Bank’s mission and strategies.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education of vocational school with coursework in electrical, electronics, mechanical, HVAC, construction, or similar skilled trades.
- Seven years of facilities, supervisory, and/or project management experience.
- Basic knowledge and skill to read and interpret drawings and specifications as required for implementing repairs and to facilitate changes. Knowledge and skill in using AutoCAD software.
- Current Minnesota Master Electrician or Electrical PE license is preferred (Maintenance Electrician license is minimum requirement).
- Certified Project Manager accreditation is a plus.
