2026 Engineers: Electrical Predictive Maintenance
Wednesday, September 2, 2026 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)
Description

Electrical predictive maintenance (PdM) is a proactive, data-driven strategy that uses real-time condition monitoring tools and data analytics to forecast exactly when electrical equipment will fail. Instead of relying on rigid, calendar-based schedules like preventive maintenance, this methodology continuously evaluates the actual operational health of electrical systems. This strategy allows facilities to perform maintenance tasks only when physical degradation is detected, preventing unexpected blackouts and hazardous component failures before they occur.
