Current Responsibilities

Matthew is a 24-year Operations/Engineering professional in property management. He currently holds the position of Vice President, Senior Chief Engineer in the Minneapolis market at Jones Lang LaSalle. He joined JLL in November 2018 at 950 Nicollet and leads a team consisting of an Operating Engineer and Maintenance Technician. 950 Nicollet is a twelve story, 500K ft2, Class A office tower, located in the core of the Minneapolis Central Business District on Nicollet Avenue. The building fronts Nicollet Mall, downtown’s center of commerce and retail. Matthew is also the President of BOMA Greater Minneapolis Engineers Association, BOMA Events and Awards Committee Member, JLL Midwest North DEI Committee Member, JLL Midwest North Engineer Workforce Development Director and JLL US Special Operations Group member.

Experience

Prior to joining JLL, Matthew was an Operating Engineer at 950 Nicollet for Ryan Companies. It was and easy transition for him when JLL took over the management agreement in 2018. Prior to joining Ryan Companies at 950 Nicollet, Matthew worked as a roving Engineer for Welsh Companies, covering 2M ft2 of Duke Realty Properties alone. These were mostly industrial properties spread out across the SW, W and NW metro area.  Prior to working for Welsh, Matthew worked for Cushman and Wakefield under contract for American Express. The contract was for a 600k ft2, tier IV data center, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is where Matthew cut his teeth on all things operations and where he started his career in 2001.
